Blindsight: An Ophthalmologist Reflects on Visual Loss and Artistic Creativity
The Hartford Medical Society had a very successful event at the Hillstead Museum on June 18th featuring Dr. Vincent de Luise speaking about artists who developed visual impairments and the resulting effects on their artwork. After an excellent dinner and stimulating talk, Dr. de Luise led the HMS members and their guests on a private tour of the artwork at the Hillstead Museum. Some of the priceless works seen on the tour were the same ones discussed during his presentation.
