Join us on Wednesday, March 27, from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Rockledge Grille in West Hartford for an engaging evening covering the history of Lyme Disease with Dr. Jonathan A. Dixon, MD, Rheumatologist at the Bone & Joint Institute at Hartford Healthcare.

MEET YOUR SPEAKER

 

Dr. Jonathan A. Dixon is a highly accomplished rheumatologist with an extensive medical background. He graduated from Harvard College in 1966 with a degree in Economics and later earned his M.D. from Harvard Medical School in 1970. Following this, he completed his internship at the University of California, San Francisco, and subsequently underwent medical residency and fellowships in Arthritis, Immunology, and Rheumatology. 

His practice experience spans over four decades, starting with private group practice in rheumatology in 1979. Dr. Dixon has held significant roles at Hartford Hospital, including serving as President of the Medical Staff, Chief of the Division of Rheumatology, and Director of the Rheumatology Clinic. Currently, he serves as a Rheumatologist at the Bone and Joint Institute at Hartford Hospital and holds positions on the Board of Directors for Seabury, Inc (CHHI) and Seabury at Home, Inc (SAHI). Dr. Dixon remains actively involved in medical education as a facilitator/faculty member at the University of Connecticut School of Medicine. 

Throughout his career, Dr. Dixon has been actively involved in professional organizations, including being a Fellow of the American College of Rheumatology. He has held various leadership positions, such as President of the Hartford Physicians Association, Chairman of the Medical Staff Council at Hartford Hospital, and many more. 

In addition to his clinical roles, Dr. Dixon has contributed to medical literature with publications on topics like cerebrovascular obstruction, Sjogren's syndrome, and lupus erythematosus.
