During the U.S. Civil War, over 110 Connecticut doctors supported the Union as recruit examiners, regimental and naval surgeons, contract physicians, and citizen volunteers. Through a mix of ingenuity, skill, and humanity, these doctors excelled under extraordinary and harrowing circumstances.

During this engaging webinar, Dr. R. M. (Mick) Bedard will highlight the contributions of three Connecticut doctors and describe the barriers and challenges they faced and the medical advancements created by that war. Join us to learn more about how Connecticut's history intertwined with and influenced the medical history coming out of the bloodiest battles fought on American soil.
